The Titan robot seems at first glance like a fake, but it actually is real. It sings and also dances. The company that makes this robot is based out of the U.K and is called Cyberstein. This is one of the coolest robots I have seen to date. It just makes us wonder whats in store for robots in the future. There are plenty of companies researching this technology and its only a matter of time before we see some really crazy stuff.

So Joey Chestnut did it again. He is still the reigning champ for chowing down dogs like a mad man. The hot dog eating contest rules were a bit different this time around. The contest which is held once a year in Coney Island has had 12 minute hot dog contests for years in which the contestants try to shove as many dogs down their gullet as they can, but this year they changed the rules to 10 minutes which means people get tired faster.

Joey Chestnut went up against his biggest contender and former reigning champion Takeru Kobayashi. They had the first tie ever in history, so they had to go from there to eat 5 hot dogs, and whoever could finish first won.

All I can say was this was one crazy intense competition which was held on ESPN of all stations. I guess you can call it a sport. You can bet your behinds we will be there next year to watch and see if Chestnut can hold down his title again for 3 years in a row.

Yesterday GFW Magazine announced that they would no longer be releasing a print magazine. Games For Windows Magazine, previously Computer Gaming World, has been around for 27 years. The editorial staff will now strictly work on 1up’s online division.

I’ve been a subscriber to CGW/GFW for a good 10 years now, and I’m really sad to see this magazine bow out. GFW was continuously one of the smartest and funniest gaming publications out there, and I highly recommend that everyone support the remaining team members by reading their stuff online and listening to their podcast.

Imagine a team of two programmers, taking the MUGEN engine software to the limit by creating their own video game that is actually good.

You don’t have to imagine for long because this team from Spain is near finished and the buzz in incredible. Teaser after teaser the team has been hard at work creating their own sprites for the game. Every fighting game possibly imaginable was created, drawn by hand, and programmed by these to programmers; Ahruon and Orkimides. Every beloved geek character will be on this game. KOS-MOS, Ivy, Cloud, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Tecmo, X-Men etc.

This game is supposed to be better than Super Smash Bros. because, it has the characters from Super Smash and every fighting game. Take a look at the latest teaser.
