Google announced that it has just acquired DoubleClick. Well I am sure we all thought that a year ago, isn’t that old news? not really, considering that the all powerful Google even had to follow the regulatory approvals mandated by law.

But now that they do have double click, how will that affect advertisers? Google says it has plans of integrating its own ads with DoubleClick in the coming weeks, and that we will get news how thats going to be done.

Google also spoke of a headcount being reduced. It looks like there will be some layoffs, and Google is trying to be nice in the way it describes the reduction of jobs most likely overseas and locally as well.

This is just another move in Googles step forward towards world domination as it seems sometimes.
