Thief 4 Stirring in the Shadows?

The gaming press reported on rumors earlier this week that Thief 4 might be the secret game that Eidos Montreal’s been working on. 1up pulls together the best evidence:
- Eidos Montreal’s website hints that their unnamed project begins with a “T”
- The website also says “the first two games we develop will revive successful franchises.” The first game they’re reviving is Deus Ex.
- Stephane D’Astous, General Manager at Eidos Montreal, temporarily changed his Facebook profile picture to a slashed “T” from the Thief logo. (thanks Meow)
Eidos isn’t being very obscure with these clues. That or they’re actually working on a sequel to Trespasser.

You’re leaving out the smoking gun. The general manager and creative director of the Montreal studio used the graphical T from the Thief logo as his Facebook avatar until half a dozen sites pointed legions of Thief fanboys in its direction.
