Big Music Releases for Tuesday, March 25

March
Tomorrow we’ll see two new albums that have a lot to live up to: both are follow ups to major 2006 albums, and both were leaked on the Internet prior to release. Here’s an idea of what to expect before they’re released on the 25th.

The Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely
Last Monday The Raconteurs announced that in eight days they would be releasing Consolers Of The Lonely, the followup to their acclaimed Broken Boy Soldiers album. That’s obviously not much time to bombard the public with advertisements and pre-release buzz, but according to The Raconteurs that’s the point: “We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the EXACT SAME TIME so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding it’s availability, reception or perception.” You can pick the album up tomorrow and make up your own mind.

Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple
Gnarls Barkley’s second album wasn’t as much of a surprise as The Raconteurs’, but its release date was: after being leaked online, the band moved the April release up to March 25. The singles “Run” and “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” came out weeks before The Odd Couple’s release, and now that reviews for the full album are coming out the consensus seems very positive. Though there’s no “Crazy”-caliber hit, the album apparently still offers plenty to love.

Some bands even if they still young they succeed to achieve a great success. For example The Raconteurs band, which still a young band, has succeeded to arrive to people’s hearts. Their fans have increased so quickly and I’m one of them. I do find that this success is due to the artistic skills of the band’s members. We may measure their popularity by prices of their tickets. Even, sometimes these prices are so huge for some bad singers.
