Dextre Robot

March
The Dextre Robot will be launching into space on Tuesday. This guy has two arms, each with seven joints. These are used to do things humans only wish they could do. Dextre’s arms have pincers as well as limbs which can tighten screws. He also can pick up things the size of a phone book.
The purpose of having Dextre around is to do jobs that would otherwise be risky for humans on the space station. He will begin working in 2009. I wonder how much they are going to pay him? He’s a robot for crying out loud.

Looks like the drones are becoming more advanced. One day these robots won’t need an external vehicular structure to cast them into space. They’ll be able to do it themselves.

If I had one of these around the house I could get a lot more done. Shoot, if I had 4 or 5 of these I would start my own cleaning business.

Impressive, and what more is that “he” has a long, erm..”Stick” coming out of his bottom, bearing the word Canada.
